Bear costume for commercials on average
by Stefano on Jan.09, 2016, during Special Effects, Events
Nothing beautiful girls and languid winks this time, ma soil both by, who dusted off my soul a little’ furry.
To achieve some short films to be published later in the media (youtube) this time I was asked to create a mascot mask to transform the appearance of an actor in a tender teddy bear (taller than me), a little’ in the style of 'Masha and Bear'.
Since the character a human transfiguration Bear, then dress with jacket and pants, the work on which I had to focus was the creation of the mask, request with mobility mouth.
Despite the simplicity of the basic idea, the work was quite challenging and required different attention. After building the model in clay on the mold of the face, created the mold bivalve, I replied in two pieces with soft foam, to maintain the mobility of the mouth.
Only then I realized that I was not the beginning of the game, because I had to cover with the synthetic fur, shape it and sew on the size of the head, cut and color, and finally apply a closing 'tear’ that would allow the necessary adjustments to the mask to fit any face.
So I started from the nose (whose tip I left deliberately discovery to create a more realistic effect) and proceeding gradually forehead, cheekbones, cheeks and chin, by cutting and pasting the fur fabric, because it fit the profile of the mask.
Then, with clippings of hair I realized even ears and tail.
Everything was glued as well as sewing with needle and thread, proving that sometimes to do the make-up are not just brushes.
At this point the mask was more like a dog to a bear… then it was necessary the intervention of the clipper and of different combs (I think I've broken at least three) to give a shape to the hair, and then to the mask.
To make it more credible I finished the job by painting with an airbrush, with acrylics, and I covered my nose, already colored black, with a thin silicone layer, which determines a natural shine..
Editorial photo in Czech Republic
by Stefano on Dec.09, 2015, during Beauty, Events, Make Up
The pictures of this editorial were taken to Litohlavy, near Prague, in Czech Republic.
With a po’ creativity in your pocket as a model and Marina, not only kind and helpful, but also excellent in interpreting the part, He did this service, in which the author (a little’ guilty) Also of photography.
The trick was accomplished by collecting hair and applying a clear basis, on which they were made the light and shade of the face, pushing a little’ cheekbones and redefining the shape of the nose.
To do this I used a slightly darker color, and opened the face shape ridelineando shadows of the wings of the nose with a stretch wider and well-shaded, it made him look slightly lower.
The eyes were emphasized with chiaroscuro, making them a bit’ wider and lifting the external cutting.
Even the eyebrows have been raised slightly, inserting a lighter color on the eyelid fixed below, and reshaping and filling remnants.
To increase volume and length of eyelashes, I applied false eyelashes natural, not too thick, tailored.
I wanted to renew the image of Marina, because after a long period of long, brown hair I think it was the time to indulge in something new.
So, as the natural hair could not be touched for reasons of the contract with the agency he works, daughters I have collected them in a net on which I applied this beautiful wig classic cut some’ bob and fringe, below then combed and adapted to his face, and green colored contact lenses, further to turn the look in his eyes.
The mouth was rigged with a medium dark lipstick, tinged with brown 'shadow’ on the sides of the mouth and lit in the central part of the same highlighter used for the face.
Excellent finally, the interpretation of Marina, which it is lowered into the part and he gave a reading a little’ by dramatic Italian diva of the '50s.
Bridal makeup and photo shoot for the wedding
by Stefano on Feb.04, 2014, during Beauty, Events, Make Up
More and more often it happens that, brides makeup for the wedding day, ask a makeup incisive, that is 'clearly visible in the picture', trend probably born from the contagion television operated by TV shows that envisage the use of color on eyes and mouth so often abundant and indiscriminate.
In general, I tend to recommend them a light makeup and natural, still leaving freedom of choice to the customer.
The creation of a make-up like what you see in the picture, in fact, does not imply a less secure job, but a more careful and wise use of cosmetics.
The secret of this trick is to remove, Instead of adding, or deleting minor flaws and blemishes of the skin creating a base first of all treated, making 'Tabula Rasa’ on the face, transforming it into a blank canvas before you begin to apply the color.
In this way, you will no longer need to use excessive colors to bring out the eyes and / or mouth, but only enough to get away with some shade from the base color, keeping shades of pink or amber, already naturally present on the face.
Using a pencil slightly darker shade for the lips or contour blurring the eyeliner around the eyes, we will highlight one or the other, making the natural effect and is perfectly readable by camera, and the photographs taken for the service.
Make up of street fashion editorial for Gabriela
by Stefano on Dec.20, 2013, during Beauty, Events, Make Up
The thing I like most about my job.. it's my job! See how much able to change the face and the characteristic traits of a person with nuance and chiaroscuro (and sometimes also adding some piece :D) it amazes me every time, and fills me with satisfaction.
Gabriela, 17 years, Brazil and Italy for the first time, came under contract for a major agency in Milan, is in its infancy in the modeling career, but in a few months has already learned all the secrets that are to be part of this world: is friendly and helpful, but with a strong character, patient during the professional make-up and in front of the goal, is willing to brave the cold late autumn despite being accustomed to the climate and temperatures much milder.
The morning runs away fast, makeup required is a make up base “nude-look”, that I often use as a base for bridal makeup, due to its ability to highlight the best features of the face iluminando eyes and hiding minor imperfections.
The time to carry out the shooting on location, you can find here: NextDoorModel.com/yellow-border-line-grabriela-godoi and returns to the makeup.
The basis of the corrective makeup has remained unchanged, I proceed then giving a little’ to emphasize the eyes (con uno smokey eyes nero) and mouth (Already, however, colorful), to make it all a bit’ more glamorous and sensual.
This is the result..
Special effects for the realization of mask by Visitor
by Stefano on Nov.20, 2013, during Special Effects, Events
What would have happened in the world during the developmental period if the reptiles had had the better of the mammals ? The planet would probably be populated by a race of hominid more similar to that of the monkey lizard.. E’ what he wants us to believe the series V-Visitors, in which an alien race presents us with terrestrial human form and promises of peace.
As well as the present, however, in a friendly manner conceals double purpose (the desire to eat us!) also the appearance of the aliens is changeable: a mask hides what are their true appearance..
V-Visitors has been a cult series, that enchanted, impressed and frightened thousands of viewers, since his arrival in Italy on TV 1, in 1984.
I wanted to try to re-look made almost thirty years ago by the make-up of the series, with the same technology available at that time (plaster molds, latex masks).
That's how it came out!
The realization of the makeup:
I started taking the imprint of the face of Julia (my model) using water and alginate.
Qui sotto la potete vedere paziente e per niente infastidita mentre aspetta il suo destino 😀
I filled the mark with chalk rapid, that helped me to develop the first of its positive face.
I reused after its footprint to create the false mask of human, that once torn, revealed the appearance of extraterrestrial.
I modeled on the positive plaster, are availing of plasticine, the huge mask Visitors, based upon the images found on the web.
This model was then sprayed with plaster dental, in order to make a good impression even the texture scales.
The mask is then Visitors been realized in liquid latex prevulcanized, for stratification, irrobustendola wherever appropriate, because once applied maintained the form.
The application process was quite simple: once glued the mask from the face of alien Giulia, and finished the edges, I applied the color, verde e oro, to remember the scales of reptiles.
Everything was finished with a glossy powder to give shine and life to the Visitor.
I applied around the human mask, suitably cut, to give the idea that it had been torn away from her face.
In this case, the whole thing was fixed with bobby pins to the hair of Julia, previously collected, and covered with a wig with front tulle (attack film).
Make Up and Special Effects for Video Virtual Promoter
by Stefano on Nov.04, 2013, during Beauty, Special Effects, Events, Make Up
During the realization of a video presentation “Virtual Promoter”, taken care of by the Keep In Touch of Mantua for the fair Ecomondo Rimini, I was commissioned to create makeup and special effects on Violet, to give her a look that recalls the character of Star Trek “Seven of Nine”.
Violet, who starred several scenes in front of the camera, had to have a look cybernetic, with a sort of neural interface on the eyebrow, to attract the attention of visitors to the stand Tetra Pak presenting a futuristic look.
The Making of make-up
Before you start to make up your face I was in charge of coverage of the eyebrow, of which had to be installed interface. After combing the hair of the eyebrow and standardized, I applied a piece of shell cap mat then faded.
At this point I created a nice trick beauty uniform over the entire face, paying attention to the chiaroscuro.
Finally I applied and colored prosthetic part, previously made of latex and cold foam, for optimum mobility on the face.
Make up per photo shooting a Venezia
by Stefano on Oct.24, 2013, during Beauty, Events, Make Up
-“What are you doing tonight ?”
The question, even if thrown in a little’ suddenly, demanded an answer states that the Dony was waiting for, probably cuddling one of her cats, on the other side of the chat interface.
“..nothing in particular” typed carelessly, waiting to receive an invitation to a pizza among friends that was active for too long.
-“how about Venice? per uno shooting. I have to give an answer to an American photographer who contacted me, and go alone I broke ..”
Venice has never been in the top ten of my ideal cities, nor to stay, let alone to live, universally recognized as dear (the famous 15 Euros for a coffee in Piazza San Marco are not a legend) and always crowded with tourists often wandering aimlessly.
-“..of course, all expenses paid, paid work, and take my car.” finish the sentence Dony, facing a moment of my hesitation.
“There are.” The answer slipped between his lips fast, had not yet passed by the brain when it came out of the mouth.
Anything would be better than a 'nothing special'. In the company of a friend like Dony also, the time spent on the freeway would fly, we would have had time to update us on our stories, and maintain mastered our English, all in one evening.
The evening itself, was better than all my expectations.
Critsey, the photographer who had engaged in the work, proved to be a nice person, intelligent and sympathetic, over that of good talent in the photograph.
And despite the set of the improvised, the results were not long to wait. I realized the makeup mirror with my suitcase leaning against the table in a bar, near the station Saint Lucia, surrounded by curious, some tourists Asia and some passerby who asked me to be rigged turn.
It was fun and unusual, so as to leave me in a strange mood, also during the following set, by making me appreciate what 39 years almost ignored.
Venice at night changing face. And it is mysterious and beautiful.
The realization of the makeup:
Also for this make up, I chose to use fatty bases by powdering, more stable and opaque compared to classical water based.
Lying on the bottom of the same skin color Dony, however, already free from imperfections, I made light and shade with the classic technique of chiaroscuro. To handle the face and give a more natural, I also applied a touch of blush (blush) in the vicinity of the cheekbones.
The eye makeup was instead creating chiaroscuro reinforcing the already present with a bronze-colored powder eyeshadow, evident on the upper eyelid and just mentioned on the bottom, one-third from the outer edge of the eye, about.
The eyes were placed in evidence even slightly shaded with black eyeliner, thin applied only on the upper eyelid, in the vicinity of the root of the eyelashes, only then finished with mascara.
On the lips I gave free rein to a beautiful red access, gradient darker near the edges and slightly surrounded in clear to increase the volume.

Cuts and Wounds with special effects
by Stefano on May.14, 2013, during Special Effects, Make Up
Not only the sensitivity of the wedding makeup, or the charm and sweetness of make up fashion & glamour on these pages, but also a bit’ of blood and nastiness.
The idea of Frank and Mary to see each other with a little’ of blood on him has been reworked by me and Gabriel in a rather minimalist (away from the atmosphere pulp and splatter horror films the 80s and 90s) domains in which realism and conceptualism.
In 'play your game’ (Pictured above) Mery is playing his life in a game of cards with the always fascinating vampire Francesca, and the opening bet of the game comes down fresh from her wrist.
The make up of the characters in the scene is light and almost neutral: has always been made with funds made fat light, neutral colors, eye shadows red and rosé, colored contact lenses to make it look flat and bright, and all helped to make the atmosphere quite surreal.
The wounds were instead made by molding: In fact, the model made of plasticine, I got the impression with a silicone rubber for polyaddition. Then I created a movie on the footprint in cap mat you can easily blend with the skin, sucessivamente and I filled it with bondo, which has maintained transparency.
The result is an effect of extreme realismoin which the prosthesis has no edges and whose color blends naturally (thanks to semitrapsarenza) with that of the complexion.

Musetto da leopardo per bodypainting
by Stefano on Mar.21, 2013, during Body Painting, Special Effects, Events
Here we go again.. cats back to strike! Already, although in this case it is a leopard, is still a part of the family.. 🙂
For an event that was held Hobby Show 2013, in Milan in conjunction with Cartoomics 2013, I have realized and applied this prosthesis' face feline’ and subsequently colored by Flavio Bosco for the realization of this bodypainting.
The nose, applied with glue for prosthesis, adheres to the whole portion of the face covered, and being made of very soft material, it preserves the facial expressions.
E’ was fun to see the large number of people who, around the fair, Anya stopped, our model, to be immortalized in a photo a pose with a cat of this caliber!
